Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 5, 12/6 to 12/10

Math Monday - Today we will play the Product Game. HW - ACE #'s 1 - 8. Tuesday - Today we will work on problem 2.1. HW - ACE #'s 13 and 17 - 20. Wednesday - Today we will check the homework. That took the whole period. HW - Work on your special number project. Thursday - Today we will finish the problem 2.1 follow-up. Then we will do problem 2.3 and the follow-up. Problem 2.2 and the follow-up will be extra credit for anyone who wants it. HW - Work on your special number project. Do problem 2.2 if you want extra credit. Friday - We will do ACE #'s 9, 10 and 14 in class to finish Investigation 2. HW - None

Science Monday - Students will work on their lab write-up. HW - Finish the lab write-up if you did not finish in school. Show your parents if you are finished to see how many points you got. If you did not get the experimental procedure section done, just work on the conclusion section. We will have more time in class to work on the experimental procedure. Tuesday - In order to help students, who are all on different stages, get all their work done, I have created a flow chart to help them keep track of what needs to be done right now. Students need to finish their lab write-up procedure. HW - None Wednesday - Today we went down to the creek to set fish traps. We set fish traps at our section of the creek to help North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) with their annual salmon counts. NOSC keeps track of the number of returning salmon fry to make sure the creek is doing well. HW - None Thursday - Today we will check our traps and count any fish we caught. As always, we release the fish after we count and record them. We caught a lamprey in one trap, five sculpin in the other trap, and six crayfish and a cutthroat trout in the last trap! HW - None Friday - Students need to finish their lab write-up procedure. Then students will continue to take notes on their specific, team topics from the websites I have found for them on my science webpage. Students are also ready to start storyboarding their notes into the websites they will become. Students will also use their notes and their storyboards to show the class what they have learned through a PowerPoint presentation. I will also collect the notes from Ch 12, section 1 to grade them. I will grade them based on how accurately students outlined and on how well they summarized the material. HW - None

Language Arts Monday - Students will continue to work on their Cispus Websites. HW - None Tuesday - Students will continue to work on their Cispus Websites. I asked students if they could be done by this Friday, but most groups said no. I will check with them again on Friday and see if they can finish by early next week so that we can move on. HW - None Wednesday - Students will continue to work on their Cispus Websites. HW - None Thursday - Students chose their Market Day teams and began planning and filling out their applications. Go to the social studies page for links to all their handouts. HW - None Friday - Today students will make God's Eyes in preparation for Market Day. HW - None

Social Studies Monday - Today I will give students a PowerPoint lesson. HW - None Tuesday - Today we will have our weekly Second Step lesson. HW - None Wednesday - Today I will finish the PowerPoint lesson, then I will give students time to storyboard their Maya/Aztec/Inca Webquest information. HW - None Thursday - Continuation of Market Day preparation. HW - None Friday - Students will continue to fill out their Market Day applications. They will also be able to start researching their particular countries to truly make their products authentic. HW - None
